About Bitter and Bright

Bitter and Bright is a cocktail recipe site for home entertainers. If a drink is worth pouring, it belongs here: the classics, the crowd pleasers, the seasonal stuff, and the odd request somebody makes at midnight. Every recipe is measured properly, explained plainly, and built to scale from one glass to a full pitcher.

How every recipe is built

Each recipe shows its ratio up front, in a ribbon across the recipe card, so you can see the shape of the drink before you read a word. Amounts are always given in ounces and millilitres. The specs follow the classic published ratios, the same ones working bars pour, and every method is written the way it is actually made at home, with the ice, the shake times, and the small moves that matter.

A note on the photos

Photos on this site are created to show the serve: the glass, the garnish, and the colour of the drink. Brand labels are never invented, and no rating on this site is bought or faked. There are no star ratings because nobody here is pretending a panel of judges lives in the kitchen.
